Five For Friday
I am off today and very busy running lots of errands, but I couldn’t leave you without a Five for Friday post!
Five Things to Cook/Bake/Make
Grandma Meyer Lemon Bars – So yummy and perfect for your Easter table :)
Strawberry Cupcakes - from Eat, Live, Run. Of course we are back on strawberries again. I had this crazy idea to use this frosting on a chocolate cupcake too.
Sesame Almond Brown Rice Balls – from 101 Cookbooks. Since we had another strawberry recipe, it was only fair to have another ball recipe too. Apparently I love balls. Anyhoo. When I saw this recipe I was all, “yeah! I’m gonna make these to take on the plane for our honeymoon so that we have healthy snacks!” And then I remembered that I don’t have time to make these because I’ll be um, getting married. I’m still gonna make them when I get home though.
French Onion Soup Grilled Cheese – Everyone knows the best part of French Onion Soup is the bread and cheese on top…that’s what makes this idea brilliant. Swap veggie stock for the beef stock and we’re in business.
Cucumber Bean Salsa – from My Kitchen Addiction. I don’t know about salsa…I would eat this straight out of the bowl as a salad! So light and fresh!
Five Things to Read
Square Melons – Okay these are just WEIRD.
13 Simple Steps To Get Through A Rough Day – A few of my friends posted this on Facebook the other day and I had to jump on the bandwagon because it’s awesome! If you haven’t clicked yet, please do so now, and proceed to have an awesome day.
Jackie Warner’s Top 6 Weight Loss Tips - via Fit Bottomed Girls. I have to admit, I’ve been watching old episodes of Work Out on Netflix, so a Jackie Warner link seemed appropriate. I actually think she has some great advice, and I especially love the tips about pyramid training and cardio acceleration!
Everything You Need To Train For Your First Race – via FitSugar! It’s spring race season…now is the time friends! Get out there and run! If you have never tried running before, now is the perfect time to start. The weather is beautiful so you won’t have to worry about heat exhaustion or freezing your taters off. Plus it will help you look great on the beach!
I hope you are all having a wonderful day! After running all these errands and taking care of business, we are headed to church for Good Friday service (my favorite) and possibly a late dinner. I’ll see you later in the weekend!
