Floating On A Pink Cloud
Does anyone else have INSANE spring fever like me? Now that March is here, I feel like it should be warm! But when I leave the house in the morning for work, it’s still 30 degrees. Ugh.
During the winter, my Vitamix and Breville don’t get a ton of use. However, since it’s been such a mild winter, I’ve been using them more than normal. In fact, I just finished two-day juice cleanse!
During the cleanse, I discovered a new favorite juice.
Pink Cloud Juice
1 medium beet
1 pint (10 ounces) strawberries
2 small empire apples (or 1 large apple)
Optional: 1-inch piece ginger, small bunch of mint
- Wash ingredients thoroughly.
- Run all ingredients through the juicer.
- Serve and enjoy!
No seriously. This is my new favorite juice. There are some people who say you should scrape the foam off the top of the juice before drinking. But you know what? The foam is probably the BEST part of this juice! It tastes like strawberry whipped cream.
The best part of the cleanse was the treat at the end of the day. Raw chocolate cashew milk! It’s an incredible blend of raw cashews, vanilla, cacoa nibs, agave and coconut oil.
Tastes like heaven in a glass. Way better than that chocolate milk from your childhood with the scary “syrup” in it.
On another note, I’ve become totally spoiled by my treadmill. I refuse to go outside and run if it’s even slightly cold, wet, or windy. I was planning to go outside and run after posting this, but now I’m looking out the window and seeing that it’s starting to get cloudy. Ick. I’m such a baby. Oh well, a workout is a workout, whether it’s outdoors or in. So the moral of the story is, don’t let the weather be an excuse for not working out! There are lots of great workouts you can do inside with zero equipment. But maybe that’s a post for another day…
